Kalamazoo College philosophy professor Chris Latiolais speaks with WMUK's Andy Robins

Philosophers from the U.S. and several other countries will descend on the Kalamazoo College campus this weekend. They'll be talking about the work of 19th century German philosopher Georg Hegel.

K College Philosophy Department Chairman Chris Latiolais says the focus will be on Hegel's view that people cannot be truly free if they are isolated from others. Latiolais says Hegel's work continues to have a large effect on scholars today in psychology, sociology and history.

The two-day conference begins Friday, February 26th at 8 p.m. in Mandelle Hall at Kalamazoo College.

More information is available at the conference Web page.
