KALAMAZOO, MI -- Janice Brown is stepping down as executive director of The Kalamazoo Promise, although she is staying on staff as director emeritus, it was announced today. Meanwhile, Bob Jorth, administrator of The Promise office since its creation in spring 2006, is being promoted to executive director, and Von Washington Jr., former principal of Kalamazoo Central High School, is joining the office as executive director of community relations.
