BPI Series Presents The Music Of David Colson

The Bullock Performance Institute continues its 12-concert series on Jan 23 with a concert featuring brand-new works by composer David Colson, a professor of theory and composition at Western Michigan University. In the studio with Cara Lieurance, Colson, pianist Lori Sims, and Clocks in Motion percussionist Sean Kleve preview Rise, for piano and percussion quartet. Another significant premiere is a new saxophone quartet, which will be performed by one of the premiere quartets of its kind, the Capitol Quartet.

The concert begins with a 7 pm Live and Interactive! portion, a question-and-answer section for the artists. Music begins at 7:30 pm, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall at WMU.
