KALAMAZOO, MI -- The Kalamazoo City Commission has picked Roseville, Calif.-based headhunting firm Bob Murray & Associates to lead the search for the next city manager. Of the three firms, Bob Murray & Associates is the only one that has recruited before in Michigan, having recruited in the past for Wayne County, Mich.

City commissioners in a special meeting Monday decided to invite Bob Murray & Associates of Roseville, Calif., Colin Baenziger & Associates of Wellington, Fla., and Strategic Government Resources of Keller, Texas to interview with the seven commissioners either by a video conference or in person on Monday, Feb. 4.
