Board members at their meeting Monday praised Gray's track record and said he was the candidate that best fit their criteria for the job.

PORTAGE, MI -- The Portage Public Schools Board of Education spent more than four hours in closed session Wednesday discussing who they would like to interview for the job of superintendent, but have not announced a list of finalists.

PORTAGE, MI -- After only a month on the job, Mark Love has resigned as interim human-resources director of Portage Public Schools. The resignation was effective Monday, April 8. "It just wasn't a good fit for all of us, so we're moving forward," said Sarah Baker, PPS spokeswoman.
