Washington - U.S. Rep. Gary Peters raised more money in the first quarter of this year than two other fellow representatives combined who are also considering a run for U.S. Senate. Peters, D-Bloomfield Township, is eyeing a campaign for Senate in 2014 with the retirement of Sen. Carl Levin, D-Detroit.

KALAMAZOO, MI - Darius Paul is leaving the Western Michigan University men's basketball program, the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year said to MLive.com Tuesday afternoon. Paul said he did not know where he will transfer, but has been granted an unconditional release by WMU.

State House Republicans drop proposed penalties for contracts approved before "right to work" law

Few security adjustments made for Kalamazoo Marathon

KALAMAZOO, MI - Kalamazoo Marathon race director Blaine Lam said a few minor adjustments were made for the Borgess Run for the Health of It events on May 5 after a run through checklists with medical and security officials Tuesday morning. Lam said he hopes the most notable change from last year will be unnoticed by runners and spectators.
