"Another year, another decrease in Battle Creek's voter turnout. Just 8.4 percent of the city's 38,206 registered voters decided who will serve as their city commissioners for the next two years, according to unofficial results. Two new members will join the Battle Creek City Commission. There was one challenger who won a ward seat by defeating an incumbent city commissoner.

"PORTAGE, MI – Voters in Portage Tuesday approved a city charter amendment to decriminalize small amounts of marijuana. With all precincts reporting in unofficial totals, the charter amendment passed by a margin of 5,500 votes to 5,361. (Kalamazoo Gazette)

"PORTAGE, MI -- Portage voters chose to return incumbents Patricia Randall, Jim Pearson and Richard Ford to the Portage City Council. According to unofficial totals from Tuesday's election, Patricia Randall had 6,578 votes, Jim Pearson with 5,830, Richard Ford with 5,325." (Kalamazoo Gazette)
