Kalamazoo Communities in Schools launches capital campaign
Non-profit launching campaign to maintain service. Officials also hope to expand after-school programs and add tutors
KALAMAZOO, MI -- Communities In Schools of Kalamazoo is launching a campaign to raise at least $4.5 million to help more Kalamazoo students graduate on time. On Wednesday, the nonprofit opened the public phase of its three-year capital campaign. So far, CIS has raised more than $2.1 million toward the total needed to pay for three years of operating expenses.
