Michigan Association of School Boards spokeswoman says staff has been fielding calls from administrators wanting to make schools safer.
"Our school campuses are designed to inspire creativity, personal responsibility, collaboration, pride and achievement. We have multiple safeguards in place, but we cannot totally eliminate the possibility of an act of evil taking place."
