Bedtime Stories (As Told by Our Dad) (Who Messed Them Up) - Kindleberger Summer Festival of the Performing Arts

Bedtime Stories (As Told by Our Dad) (Who Messed Them Up) - Kindleberger Summer Festival of the Performing Arts

The Kindleberger Summer Festival Youth Play was introduced in 1990, giving area youth an opportunity to participate in the magic of story telling on the stage! We are excited to present in 2022 the very appropriate youth production, Bedtime Stories (As Told by our Dad) (Who Messed Them Up), a nod to every parent who has had that bedtime experience when they’re completely out of gas and the kids don’t want to go to sleep! The youth production will be directed by Connar Klock, a first-time director for the Kindleberger Summer Festival. We welcome Connar to Kindleberger Park!

Play Synopsis: It’s Dad’s turn to tell his three rambunctious kids their bedtime stories, but when he gets fuzzy on the details, the classics get creative: a prince with a snoring problem spices up The Princess and The Pea, The Boy Who Cried Wolf cries dinosaur instead, and Rumpelstiltskin helps turn all that pesky gold into straw. You may think you know your fairy tales, but not the way Dad tells them.

PERFORMANCE DATES are Wed-Fri, July 6-8 at 5:30pm, Sat, July 9 and Sun, July 10 at 3:30pm at The Stage in Kindleberger Park, Parchment, MI.
