Amtrak Adds Summer Trains, Changes Schedules

Amtrak says it plans to run more trains in Michigan during the summer holiday season. It’ll also temporarily change some regular trains’ schedules while it works on tracks and signals.

The bulk of the shifts affect Blue Water service between Port Huron and Chicago. The Pontiac-to-Chicago Wolverine line will include an extra eastbound train most Sundays and an extra westbound one most Mondays.

The changes start Monday May 19 and end August 31.
