A pianist who finds surprising connections between diverse composers, Dejan Lazic is an experienced concert artist known for his brilliant playing and idiosyncratic interpretations. Born in Croatia, Lazic grew up in Salzburg, Austria, where he studied at the Mozarteum, spending his summers in Hungary at a music festival founded by his teachers, Zoltan Kocsis and Imre Rohrmann.
Cara Lieurance talks to Mr. Lazic about the works of Bartok, Scarlatti, Britten and C.P.E. Bach that he'll feature in his solo recital on Sunday, May 1 at the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival.
