Jazz Currents Pays Tribute To Bassist Bob Cranshaw

Bassist Bob Cranshaw, who died November 2, 2016 at age 83, was one of the most recorded bass players of all time.

He appeared on many classic recordings including Lee Morgan's The Sidewinder and Joe Henderson's Inner Urge.  He is most known for his work with jazz icon Sonny Rollins and toured and recorded with Rollins for over 50 years.  Cranshaw also enjoyed a very successful studio career and played bass on many popular TV shows.
