Kalamazoo Concert Band Closes Season With Upbeat 'Fun & Games'

Director Tom Evans was thinking of his favorite sport, baseball, when he started putting the music together for the Kalamazoo Concert Band'snext concert, which will be held Saturday at 7:30 pm in Chenery Auditorium. The program, "Fun & Games," features a musical adaptation of the famous 1888 poem, Casey At Bat, as well as musical references to running, sailing, and the Olympics. In addition, the concert will features oboist Emily Dudd, winner of the 2018 KCB Youth Soloist Competition. Evans previewed the KCB's final concert of the season with Cara Lieurance.
