Kalamazoo Singers Offer Choral Festival Favorites

Kalamazoo Singers

Rick Phelps, music director of the Kalamazoo Singers, says he's heard exciting music and breathtaking performances from high school choirs in his career as an adjudicator at choral festivals. He keeps a notebook nearby during a day of adjudication, noting down the pieces that catch his interest. This is where he came up with the idea of featuring choral festival favorites in a concert by the Kalamazoo Singers, a community choir that takes on a wide variety of repertoire.

The concert "A Festival Song" will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, Mar 10 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Portage.
