No New TB Cases at Kalamazoo Central HS

WMUK

None of the Kalamazoo Central High School students and staff who came in contact with a student with tuberculosis has developed the disease. That’s according to Kalamazoo County Health Department Director Linda Vail, who says the department tested more than 300 people who might have been exposed.

She adds that since TB sometimes takes a while to incubate, the department will test those individuals again in a few months.

Vail says the student who developed an active case of TB is recovering at home.
