WMU Choral Conductors Extend Invitation To Local Singers

Dani Reynolds

Dr. Kim Adams and graduate assistants Ahmed Anzaldua and Joel Snyder want to let you know that opportunities exist for community members to sing with Western Michigan University ensembles

Campus Choir is led by graduate assistants Joel Snyder and Katrina Riewaldt. It focuses on a variety of styles, from classical to modern, and meets Wednesdays from 7 - 9 pm. No audition is required. Campus Choir is closely related to the long-running WMU Grand Chorus, which performs in conjunction with University Symphony Orchestra and Kalamazoo Symphony.

Collegium Musicum focuses on early music - medieval, renaissance, baroque and early classical. It's one of the oldest continuously-running ensembles at WMU. Interested singers should arrange a private, informal audition by contacting graduate assistant Ahmed Anzaldua through the WMU Choirs facebook page.

Cara Lieurance is the local host of NPR's All Things Considered on 1021 WMUK and covers local arts & culture on Let's Hear It on 89.9 Classical WMUK weekday mornings at 10 - 11 am.
