Some passengers might have to take buses to different rail lines.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is shelling out a million dollars to allow riders to surf the web. A spokesman for M-DOT says the cost will hopefully be offset by increased ridership and more revenue.

People in the quiet car are not allowed to talk loudly or use cell phones and noisy computer programs.

The railroad expects more than 31 million passengers to have ridden the train by the end of this fiscal year.

Amtrak says area is covered by nearby Amtrak stations.
