10 Streets that Changed America Host Geoffrey Baer says there were dozens of suggestions for the program which debuts Tuesday night. The final list includes the Kalamazoo Mall.

Aaron Burr nearly became President of the United States in the election of 1800. Instead, Thomas Jefferson was elected President and Burr Vice President. Burr only served one term as Vice President, and in 1807 faced trial for Treason.

This April 4th will mark the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Junior’s assassination in Memphis. Reverend Bill Wylie-Kellerman says exactly one year prior to his death, King gave an important speech stating his opposition to the war in Vietnam, and calling for a revolution of values.

When Dennis Archer arrived at Western Michigan University he was driving an old Studebaker. It broke down in a place he wasn't supposed to park. Archer convinced campus police to sell the car in exchange for forgiving his parking tickets . More than 50 years later Archer had a dorm named after him on the WMU campus.
