Michigan State University research specialist Amos Ziegler developed the app through a project he created six years ago—the Midwest Invasive Species Information Network. It’s a website where professionals and citizen scientists can share information about invasive plants and animals. 

University officials say they do not plan to cancel the commencement address Saturday by the conservative columnist.

Last night, renowned jazz trumpeter Jon Faddis taught a master class and performed with students from Hackett Catholic Central High School in Kalamazoo. He’ll be making similar stops in Grand Rapids, East Lansing, and Detroit.
