WMUK

The terrorist attacks of 2001 will be remembered today at Western Michigan University.

Cadets from Western's Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC will hold a vigil at the flag pole in front of the Administration Building. Taps will be played and the flag lowered to half-staff at 8:46 a.m. the time when the first aircraft hit one of the World Trade Center Towers in New York City on September 11th, 2001. The cadets will stand silent vigil, shifting out about every 30 minutes until 4:00 p.m.
