Red Cross of West Michigan Sends Volunteers To Three States

WMUK

The American Red Cross of West Michigan is sending volunteers to Arkansas, Kansas, and Mississippi to assist in disaster relief efforts. In a statement released earlier today, the organization has selected nine volunteers from the areas of Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Traverse City to the three states, which saw severe tornadoes and flooding earlier this week. Last month, the Red Cross of West Michigan sent 65 local volunteers to assist in relief efforts in Newaygo after floods hit the area. The volunteers will all have arrived in the next 24 hours.
