On WestSouthwest, FiveThirtyEight looks at the problems surround data gathered in the Flint Water Crisis. And a new soccer team prepares for its first season in Kalamazoo.

FiveThirtyEight is a data driven journalism site, probably best known for its work on politics and sports. but it also covers issues such as economic, culture and public health. Their story What Went Wrong in Flint was written by Anna Marie Barry-Jester. She reports on public health and other issues for FiveThirtyEight. Barry-Jester explains why the data was wrong and what that meant for Flint residents.

A new soccer team will begin play in Kalamazoo this spring. Mike Garrett is behind the launch of the Premier Soccer League franchise. He tells us why a soccer team can flourish in Kalamazoo.
