On WestSouthwest, Bridge examines the ongoing debate over vaccinations and waivers in Michigan schools. And a National Geographic Explorer visits Michigan to look for a connection between diseases killing snakes and frogs.

Michigan changed the rules in 2014 for getting a waiver from vaccinations to attend school. Bridge Reporter Mike Wilkinson explains what happened next, and why some lawmakers want to return to the old system.

Jonathan Kolby has spent 10 years in Honduras examining frogs. The National Geographic Explorer is trying to figure out why a fungal disease is causing mass extinction of frog species. Kolby came to the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute in Hastings to look at the Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake. The snakes have been dying due to a similar fungal infection.
