On WestSouthwest, the city of Kalamazoo's master plan is available for public review. And assessing the already crowded fields for U.S. House in Southwest Michigan as well as U.S. Senate.

The city of Kalamazoo's proposed master plan is now available for  public review. City Planner Christina Anderson explains the process to develop the plan so far, and what happens next.

Five Democrats have already announced they are running for the Congressional seat held by Republican Fred Upton. The St. Joseph representative is considering joining at least two other Republicans running for the U.S. Senate seat held by Democrat Debbie Stabenow. Although others like Robert Ritchie, known as Kid Rock, may also get in the race. Western Michigan University Political Science Professor John Clark examines the crowded field in both races.
