New Evening Schedule Features NPR’s "JazzSet"

Starting Monday, June 3, evening listening will be a little different on WMUK.  Many current audience favorites will continue although they may be moving to a different time.  Echoes will continue to be heard in its full form weeknights on WMUK-2.  From the Top will continue to be heard Saturdays at noon.

NPR’s JazzSet with Dee Dee Bridgewater is coming to WMUK starting Friday, June 7.  JazzSet originates from the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, but brings listeners performances from great jazz festivals and venues across the nation.  Learn more at the website: JazzSet with Dee Dee Bridgewater.

The project we are currently calling “Music SWMI” is a new platform for the musical life of our region.  “Music SWMI” is being led by Cara Lieurance. The eight o’clock hour will begin with an NPR newscast and a locally-recorded piece of music (performances you have been enjoying on Mondays during our program In Concert!).  We may also use this space to rebroadcast interviews from earlier in the day or to bring you special performances recorded in our own studios.
