Michigan Representatives react to State of the Union Address

West Michigan Republican Fred Upton welcomes President Obama's call for bi-partisanship in his State of the Union Address Tuesday night. Upton issued a statement saying adding jobs and improving the economy should be a priority (Mlive Kalamazoo story).

Republican Congresswoman Candice Miller says she's opposed to the President's call for a national commission to make it easier to vote. Miller, who was Michigan's Secretary of State before serving in Congress, issued a statement saying she opposes federal mandates when the problem seems to be in a few states (Detroit News Story)
