The Tenth District Court in Calhoun County has a new judge.
Governor Rick Snyder announced today that he’s appointed James D. Norlander to the seat that Judge John R. Holmes resigned from. Norlander will have to run in November 2016 if he wants to fill out the rest of Holmes’ term.
Norlander served as an assistant prosecutor in Calhoun County before being elected county prosecutor in 1976. Since 1981, he’s practiced law privately.
