Snyder Makes Appointments to Kalamazoo County Court

State of Michigan

Governor Rick Snyder has made two judicial appointments in Kalamazoo County.

A news release from the governor's office says that 8th District Court Chief Judge Paul Bridenstine is being appointed to the 9th Circuit Court. He replaces Judge J. Richardson Johnson who retired last October. Bridenstine has been on the District court since 2000.

Snyder announced that Christopher Haenicke will replace Bridenstine on the District Court. Haenicke is vice president at Greenleaf Trust, and was in private practice for 13 years.

Both Bridenstine and Haenicke will have to run for election in 2016 to serve the remainder of those terms on the bench.
