Earlene McMichael, WMUK

This edition of WestSouthwest is a rebroadcast of a special program on adult illiteracy.

WMUK's Earlene McMichael introduces us to Anthony Everson, who is struggling with limited reading ability at 53 years old. Everson is one of 25,000 in Kalamazoo County who struggle to read.

The Kalamazoo Literacy Council works to find those adults and give them help. Adult Literacy Council Executive Director Michael Evans discusses the help available to adults who lack reading skills.
