Saturday Not A Good Day For Swimming On Much Of Michigan's West Coast

James Prichard

Swimming will be dangerous at many Lake Michigan beaches tomorrow. That’s according to the National Weather Service, which is urging extreme caution at beaches from South Haven all the way north along the coast.

Swimming on the south sides of piers from South Haven to Manistee will be especially risky due to strong currents. High water levels on the Great Lakes are also making breakwaters and other such structures more slippery, and high waves could knock people off.
