Chance Trottman-Huiet, a graduate student in the School of Music at Western Michigan University, has chosen a wide variety of tuba music by modern composers for his master's recital.

While talking about pieces by Eric Ewazen, Krzysztof Penderecki, John Williams and Anthony Plog, Trottman-Huiet describes his experiences as a musician in a master's program. He credits his teacher, Jacob Cameron, with having a rare ability to listen and assess his students' playing.

Chance's recital is Saturday, February 21 at 2 pm in the Dalton Center Recital Hall at Western Michigan University. In April, he will appear with the WMU Orchestra as a soloist in the annual Concerto Concert, as one of three winners of the School of Music's concerto competition.
