Composer Sean Neukom, who met soloist Jessica Hung when they were students at the Cleveland Institute of Music, recently wrote his first and "only" violin concerto with Hung in mind. It will be premiered on Saturday by Hung and the Kalamazoo Philharmonia, under the director of Andrew Koehler. Neukom, Hung and Koehler discuss the new work and the rest of the program, titled "Americas," with Cara Lieurance.

The concert begins at 8 pm in the Dalton Theater of the Light Fine Arts Center at Kalamazoo College on Saturday. Tickets and further details at the Kalamazoo Philharmonia website.
