Jazz pianist and composer Frank Carlberg, noted for his settings of modern poetry to music, his wife, singer Christine Correa, and Western Michigan University jazz professor Andrew Rathbun joined Cara Lieurance recently for a discussion of Mr. Carlberg's music, which was featured in a WMU concert in January.

Carlberg's approach to composition will serve as a model for jazz students at Western Michigan University, who will present a selection of their newly finished songs in New York this spring.
