Bach Festival Weekbegins this Sunday with area churches participating in "The City Sings Bach" during morning services, followed by the "Young Vocalists Concert," an afternoon showcase of top performers in last month's Kalamazoo Bach Festival Young Vocalists Competition.

The popular "Bach Around the Block Organ Crawl" is set to start Monday at 7 pm at First Congregational Church, and continue to two other locations around Bronson Park in Kalamazoo. Brook Grantier, a member of the American Guild of Organists, describes the history of "Bach Around the Block" and discusses the unique qualities to be found in different organs.
