A Woman’s Voice: Then and Now? will discuss the roles of women within the African diaspora as it relates to each participant’s individual discipline and research to question how women of the African diaspora have amplified their communities, families, and profession. Yet, in some ways, their voices and their works remain unknown or less recognized in the arts, our history, and other segments of our culture. This program is designed to be in conversation with the exhibition, Africa, Imagined: Reflections on Modern and Contemporary Art.
