The community is invited to join Kalamazoo in Bloom for Portage planting days on May 17-19. Thousands of annual flowers will be planted in Portage's City Center including City Hall, Library Lane, and the canoe. No planting experience is required. Gardening tools will be available but you are welcome to bring your own (small shovel, trowel, gloves, kneeling pad, bucket, etc.). Snacks and beverages are provided.

This is a great opportunity for businesses, groups, the family, and if you're looking to meet new friends. Morning and afternoon times are available. Volunteer for as long or as little as you can. All hands and help are needed to transform the flower beds into beautiful and vibrant spaces that the community can enjoy all summer long.
