The often-roving Grammy award-winning opera singer Meredith Arwady says she has over 80 reasons, in the form of family and friends, to keep her Kalamazoo roots strong. On Monday, December 11 at 7:30 pm, Arwady and a former Loy Norrix music teacher, Marie Kerstetter, will present a free (with goodwill offering) holiday concert at Westminster Presbyterian Church. In a preview with Cara Lieurance, they reminisce about Arwady's student days and share their love of holiday music, from Handel's Messiah to the Bing Crosby album White Christmas.

Cara Lieurance is the local host of NPR's All Things Considered on 1021 WMUK and covers local arts & culture on Let's Hear It on 89.9 Classical WMUK weekday mornings at 10 - 11 am.
