WMUK Wins Two PRNDI Awards

We're excited to announce that WMUK has won two PRNDIlocal public radio news awards! PRNDI stands for the Public Radio News Directors Incorporated.

The first winning entry was the WestSouthwest show on the e-book We Are One about race in Battle Creek. In the show, WMUK's Gordon Evans interviewed Calhoun Race Impact Alliance Director J.R. Reynolds and Battle Creek Enquirer reporter Justin Hinkley. The show won first place for Best Interview among mid-sized stations.

The second entry was WMUK correspondent Chris Killian's audio postcard from Bombay Beach, California. It won second place for Best Use of Sound.

Killian spent most of last year traveling around the United States in a VW camper van and bloggingusing a manual typewriter.
