Kalamazoo City Commission meets Wednesday on manager search

WMUK

Kalamazoo City Commissioners are scheduled to meet on Wednesday morning to continue deliberations on picking a new city manager.

Five finalists were interviewed last week, but MLive Kalamazoo reported that some commissioners were underwhelmed by the candidates. The commission is scheduled to meet beginning at 7:00 Wednesday morning.

Tensions continue at home for one of the finalists. MLive reports that the union representing Saginaw Police officers has asked City Manager Darnell Earley not to attend an awards ceremony on Tuesday.

MiBiz has a look at some of the problems the next manager will face, including limited sources of revenue.
