A retired Western Michigan University professor known for his expertise on Pakistan has died.
A news release from the university says Lawrence Ziring died on Friday, he was 86. Ziring was a professor at Western for 37 years. He is also the author of dozens of books and articles on geopolitics, many focusing on Pakistan. A funeral service for Ziring is scheduled for this morning at Langeland Funeral Homes Westside Chapel.
