Report Finds Summer Slowdown In August Economy

The latest report on West Michigan’s industrial economy finds a slowdown in August.

The Director of Supply Chain Management for Grand Valley State University, Brian Long, says that’s typical for late summer.

Long’s monthly report for the National Association of Purchasing Management finds most economic indicators remained positive, but were not as strong as the numbers in July.

Long says this month’s report indicates the continuation of a pattern of slow, but stable economic growth in the region.
