Governor Rick Snyder has appointed an assistant prosecuting attorney to serve as a District Court Judge. Kathleen Hemingway has worked in the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor's office since 2007. She will replace Judge Robert Kropf on the 8th District when he retires in June. (Kalamazoo Gazette)

Battle Creek based mental health agency Summit Pointe has reached an agreement with former executives on pension benefits. Bob Lambert and Leon Karnovsky both resigned amid an investigation into former CEO Erv Brinker. Brinker is now serving a prison term for Medicaid fraud. (Battle Creek Enquirer)
