A South Haven man will be awarded the Medal of Honor Monday at the White House for his actions to save lives during the Vietnam War. The army says former Specialist James McCloughan risked his life nine different times in 1968 to help wounded and disoriented fellow soldiers. (Detroit News

A glitch in a $47-million computer system often accused people of unemployment fraud without access to all of the information needed to make that determination. At least 20-thousand Michigan residents have been falsely accused of unemployment fraud because of the "MIDAS" system. (Detroit Free Press

West Michigan Congressman Fred Upton says he wants to seek bi-partisan common sense solutions to what the Saint Joseph Republican calls the “health care mess.” Upton’s office issued a statement saying that he is one of 50 members from both parties to join the “Problem Solvers” conference.
