The story of gangsters using Southwest Michigan as a vacation spot, and a report on "The Michigan Dream" are featured on WestSouthwest. 

Author Chriss Lyon explores how the murder of a police officer in Saint Joseph in 1929 led police to significant evidence about the "Saint Valentine's Day Massacre." Lyon discusses her book A Killing in Capone's Playground with WMUK's Erin Williams. 

The Michigan Economic Center has released a report called The Michigan Dream at Risk. The center's CEO John Austin, who is also president of the Michigan Board of Education, spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
