On WestSouthwest, political scandal in Lansing and a new community space in Kalamazoo on property that was blighted not long ago.

The state House is considering whether to expel state Representatives Cindy Gamrat of Plainwell and Todd Courser of Lapeer. The two lawmakers have been involved in a scandal over using state resources to cover up their extra-marital affair. Gongwer News Service Editor Zach Gorchow tells us how the two lawmakers ended up facing expulsion. 

Land where the Riverside Greenhouses once operated fell into disrepair after the business closed. The Kalamazoo County Land Bank bought the property near the Kalamazoo River after it went into foreclosure in 2012. Now the Riverview Launch is opening to the public. Land Bank Executive Director Kelly Clarke and the Chairman of the project's Capital Campaign Committee Percy Wolfe tell us about the transition from blighted property to one that offers open space, walking trails and more.
