On WestSouthwest, the co-founder of Code Pink speaks at Kalamazoo College October 9th. And the Michigan Autism Conference in Kalamazoo beginning October 7th.

Medea Benjamin helped start the anti-war group Code Pink in 2002. She will be the featured speaker at Kalamazoo on October 9th for the Global Prize for Transformational Social Justice Leadership. Benjamin spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans about the Iran nuclear deal, drones, politics and why the group sometimes confronts leaders "out of desperation."

The third annual Michigan Autism Conference is being held in Kalamazoo beginning October 7th. Western Michigan University PhD Student Thom Ratkos is part of the planning committee. He says there's big demand for research and treatment for autism.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
