On WestSouthwest, StoryCorps Founder Dave Isay will visit Kalamazoo this week. And the Michigan Campaign Finance Network's latest report on the money raised and spent on state elections

The latest initiative from StoryCorps is the oral history of LGBT people. Dave Isay will speak about the Out Loud initiative when he comes to Kalamazoo on Thursday. He spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans about the inspiration for the latest project, and the evolution of StoryCorps over the last 12 years. 

A number of records were set for raising and spending money during the 2014 election cycle in Michigan. The Michigan Campaign Finance Network tracked where money came from and where it went for various offices. Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
