On WestSouthwest, a look at possible changes to voting, endorsements for Presidential candidates and ballot issues. And the case for a single payer health care system.

State lawmakers are considering eliminating the option for "straight ticket" voting in Michigan. Western Michigan University Political Science Professor John Clark explains what that could mean politically. WMUK's Gordon Evans also asks Clark about "no reason" absentee voting, endorsements for President and possible ballot questions for next year's election.

The chairman of the Missouri Chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program was recently in Kalamazoo. Ed Weisbart spoke to physicians while he was in town. He also came to WMUK and explained why he thinks a single-payer system would fix problems with health care in the United States.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
