On WestSouthwest, Western Michigan University President John Dunn discusses what's happening on campus and in higher education in general. And a forum in Kalamazoo designed to help ex-offenders.

Western Michigan University John Dunn sits down with WMUK's Gordon Evans, Linda Mah of the Kalamazoo Gazette and Battle Creek Enquirer Reporter Safiya Merchant. They discuss diversity on campus, possibly expanding programs in Battle Creek, plans for the next phase of WMU's Business, Technology, Research Park and more.

A forum being held Thursday night in Kalamazoo is designed to highlight programs for ex-offenders to transition back into the community. Kalamazoo Valley Community College Counselor Jessica Amey and Kalamazoo Vice-Mayor Don Cooney discuss the challenges for someone with a criminal record, and what's available to help find employment and housing.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
